Think about the Bush years. It wasn't congressional Dem leadership that stood up to Bush, it was Howard Dean. This is normal! But folks like Ali Velshi show their ignorance about politics by expecting congressional leaders & not presidential candidates to be leading the charge.

13 House Dems represent districts Trump won in 2024 & 3 Rs are in Harris districts. The current House is 219 R 212 D. What's going to work better for getting a House majority? Jeffries going full Newsom on Trump or letting Newsom do that? This isn't rocket science, it's political science.

Friend, easy on the “ignorance”. As a rule I don’t engage with people who use insult as part of their debate. That said, we’d do better with a parliamentary system whereby the “shadow government” is always in place. Absent that, that role MUST fall to congressional leaders

And congressional Dem leadership backed weak candidate John Kerry to defeat Howard Dean.
