I love how IHE reaches out to AEI and people from heterodox academy

One thing I don’t understand on this conservative center movement is how public universities can possibly justify using taxpayer $ to produce intentionally biased conservative research. There’s other things too. But that part reflects the relative balance of power in the higher ed sphere right now.

Imagine if a public university created a Marxist center under the false guise of “viewpoint diversity” & hired only ideologically-driven Marxist scholars. Would never fly, correctly so, in my view. But that’s exactly what’s happening with these conservative centers. A betrayal of the public trust.

Though I would gleefully support a Marxist center 😇

It’s using the language of liberalism against itself. “Diversity” justifying illiberal ends.
