Are they exporting via other countries and then to the US? Similar to the way that German exports to places like Uzbekistan (I forget which one exactly) have surged since sanctions were imposed on Russia

Yes, exactly. Chinese exports to places like Thailand and Vietnam have surged this year. Demand in these places obviously hasn’t boomed, so these must be transshipments that ultimately go to the US…
