We're keeping an eye on Iowa Senate District 1 special election on August 26th. Catelin Drey is an excellent candidate for the Democrats and has generated a lot of excitement. She could be the candidate to break the Republican supermajority.

Mike Zimmer won Senate District 35 in January in a special election by 25 percentage points. Republicans are vulnerable.

I haven't quite got around to committing to memory the list of Senate seats that could be in play for us, but off the top of my head- Nebraska, Iowa, Ohio, North Carolina, game over. Texas also, maybe.
