We have a similar problem in Texas with Paxton. He loves wasting taxpayer money by suing cities & counties within the state so that lawyer's fees on both sides of the case are funded by taxes.

I used to work for a state DOJ. It was shocking how much money we spent defending the state against lawsuits and bringing our own. I don’t have an issue with it when it’s stuff that makes sense. A lot of what comes out from red state AG’s don’t make sense though!
