Yeah that argument doesn't hold a whole lot of weight with me. It's quite alright to not be poor and still spread the message that everyone should make a living wage and have access to quality healthcare.

It’s people with 5 mansions and a penthouse telling someone who rents a shack that he’s rich.
And that they should pull themselves up by the boot straps. And that that one woman living in a trailer park and sponging off of welfare and SNAP is the whole problem.
“Damn welfare queens!”
I make hypocritical room for Taylor Swift lol
I'm too salty. That's all I've got to say about that.
I honestly think that we aren’t looking at “ethical billionaires”. That’s not a thing. It’s just ethical people. Are you trying to help? Yes? Good. No? Get fucked.
This is one of those unique cases where I think you could absolutely say that she is not unethical. However, one could make a very valid argument that the circumstance of being a billionaire is inherently unethical, does that mean she gets a pass because she sings pretty?
I give her my pass, because I am not a paragon of virtue, and sometimes ideologically inconsistent. Beyoncé falls into that too. Hell, if the Eagles and Don Henley did it, them too and I’m a total Lebowski on the Eagles! But they didn’t get rich off of others labor. Maybe that’s where my line is?
I guess I would equate it to a situation like a medicine that millions rely on to live. Money is kind of like that. Of course it would be unethical to hoard insulin for some reason whereas hoarding money isn't seen in the same light. It's not all that different though.
You make all that money legally and legitimately, it's yours. There's a market for you and your compensated what the market is willing to pay. Fine. Do you really need to have so much you can afford to buy 6-10 medium sized towns? Especially when so many are living paycheck to paycheck, if that?
*you're
Agreed. Granted, there are some who earn publicly but give away privately. But nothing grits my teeth worse than rent seeking wealthy people.
I haven't heard anything to say otherwise that she is nothing but a fabulous person.
