Kojima backed us into a corner with Solid Snake, unfortunately. Almost all his time from Metal Gear to Metal Gear Solid 4 is accounted for in game or in lore dumps. The first Metal Gear was also his first mission and course , and he aged him to being about to die.

I wish there was room for something new with him, but it'd require lore changes, which a lot of fans would spaz over.

When I said something new, I meant another remake like Delta. Nothing more than that.
