Thanks for the reply. 1. Democratic socialism is a political philosophy that combines democracy with socialist economics. It supports achieving socialist goals (like reducing inequality, providing for people’s needs) through democratic means rather than authoritarian ones.

1 socialism is still public ownership of the means of production, democratic or otherwise And dude is not talking about that at all 2 capitalism IS authoritarian, can only be authoritarian You are a commodity A wageslave a disposable battery for an extinction causing profit extracting machine

2. Democracy—meaning government is elected by and accountable to the people, with civil liberties and political rights. Socialism—meaning major parts of the economy (like healthcare, energy, education) are owned or heavily regulated by the public to serve the common good rather than private profit.

Not 'or heavily regulated' incentivising and greatly rewarding obscene greed and disregard for life then regulating the harms of doing that just seems stupid to me why can so few people see that's crazy Owned by the public and operated to serve the common good rather than private profits

How far away, in terms of years, do you think we are from this? Do you think we'd ever get there?

If the people got off their ass and took power away from the parasite class we could have this by the end of the week Power doesn't just go away it has to be removed

I've attended some DSA meetings and have seen how it ought to be done. We are SO FAR away from that. How could we get there (if ever)? In one of your prior posts you said if we got off our asses...then what would be the next step?

You think AOC and Bernie is a prop? They’re literally sitting members of congress, who tour the nation. Both AOC, Bernie and others have been involved in protests and congressional actions against Biden and 45/47. Liberal is such a dirty word now, meaning complacent and lazy. These two aren’t it.

Yes props wheeled out to keep the peasants voting democrat against their own interests I doubt they think or know they're props they probably believe what they say But that's what they are If dems had no talking heads on your side making you think the party is less shit you'd stop voting for them

One - what makes you think I vote for democrats? Stop speaking for people and start speaking for yourself. Two - I will vote for whoever I choose and will drag them through hell for making promises they made that they couldn’t keep.

What?? We already have socialistic programs in the US. He’s exactly what we need in the future, someone who wants to try new things that directly help ALL people. I would call it Democratic Socialism all day, every day!! (Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP, SSI, SSD, etc)
