I agree. There's more than enough sh*t on both sides. It's just a choice between the more manageable sh*t. It's really in the hands of the people. Elected officials are just that, elected. Voters put them there and only the people can remove them.

Democracy was an "idea", a concept. The extent that people did to achieve that idea: war, slavery, etc whether we agree with it or not is part of their history. They didn't want to be ruled by kings but they were ok with having slaves. The white man's hubris.
