He wasn’t the great Governor that everyone made him out to be. We had a huge surplus when he took office & at the end of his term we were broke. So he wanted to sell off our state buildings to his friends. His deficit wouldn’t look so bad & friends get rich. It might be a little bit of sour grapes.
