I deleted my 2 FB + 3 Insta accounts Was pretty hard for me as I'm literally outsourcing my memory with them. Had to save the archives, left a hand full of friends' accounts who passed away, family with no other contact. It still gives me anxiety and had to prepare 2 months, but I'm happy I did.

I told people I was leaving Twitter if Musk bought it. He did and I departed. He bought it for 44 Billion. It's estimated value today is sitting at 9.4 Billion. I just joined Bluesky, I don't know 3 or 4 weeks ago. I love the name. It immediately gives me a sense of happiness 😊 I hope more join.

It’s Facebook and Twitter, and always will be. I quit Twitter, and go on FB ~once a week, just to keep up with my smallish circle of RL friends and family. I’d quit FB if there was a Bluesky alternative, but there’s not. So most of my activity there is blocking various sponsored ads/accounts.
