In all seriousness, what we're seeing is theatre, on steroids. Even if the ceasefire does actually work, you can bet there's some shady shit going on behind the curtain.

In front of the curtain this definitely looks weird. Or maybe weird isn't the right word.. Either this is a manoeuver for his base ("I ended the war I didn't start by declaring a ceasefire, but they attacked us") or Donald himself thinks that just declaring a ceasefire will work.
