How many 'executives' would they need to give golden parachutes to in order to avoid those hundreds of lay-offs? Slight discomfort to a few at the top to preserve the livelihoods of hundreds of those most affected at the bottom of the ladder. Meanwhile, the guy doing the firing gets a bonus!

It’s bad all round. Looks like the CEO of Deere could have taken a pay cut from his 27 million dollars that he made last year and taken care of the people who earned that money for him. But that’s not what corp America does.
