That's because we know Americans are staying quiet because they don't want to leave their comfort zones and get serious about removing the regime because it means they will actually have to DO SOMETHING other than comfort themselves.

Protesting won't help when everyone wants authoritarianism anyway. What's needed is politically literate experts, advocates of individual rights, rights-protecting gov, and capitalism, to take back the political discourse. But that's not going to happen overnight.

Protests in LA and NYC nearly every day. Just not mass demonstrations like I'd like to see. You gotta ask the people who organized the last big day of protest why they haven't done another. They should have followed up with big weekly demonstrations and sustained the energy.

I was wondering why they didn't try to keep that momentum. Haven't heard about any big nationwide protests being planned in awhile. I expected something big for Labor day. I know there will be some, I've seen some being advertised for specific locations but I expected a big push for a nationwide.

Agreed.The problem in America, as many are fond of calling the US, lies in the false and not seldom somewhat superior thinking that the system had checks and balances. But these were in reality always superficial and very poor indeed. And now a resulting corrupt elite deceives a gullible minority.
