FedEx just filed notice of 611 layoffs in Shelby County. This comes less than a year after the company pocketed massive tax rebates pushed by Gov. Bill Lee.

Memphis is the big Fedex hub. We used to live in Hernando MS & watch their cargo planes coming down the flight pattern to the airport. They were, by far, most of the air traffic.
