Vance will be worse for everyone, and more violent. But less popular, less supported by his own party, and eventually in open conflict with both other branches of government, and the entire country.

That's not to excuse Trump, or wish him well. But unlike Trump, Vance is competent and more purely fascistic versus narcissistic and corrupt.

All Rs in congress and senate fear Trump's hold on maga and know that he can get them primaried if they defy him as well as things like receiving death threats when they go against him. At least Vance won't be feared in the same way. They might not feel they can screw their constituents as hard.

That would mean Peter Thiel and what else grey eminences who figure as Vance's handlers are arriving at the top.
