I worked for the state of TX briefly. Once Ann Richards was out, it started its downward slide into hell. It's not even a Red state really. That's the saddest thing about it. Most Texans are Democrats.

Yes. Last I heard she'd been given "permission" to go to her office and the bathroom but is "escorted" ie followed when she does so.
I read where a law from the 1800s was resurrected and does allow for certain actions ensuring quorums, HOWEVER, MAGA has twisted it to their purposes. I sincerely hope that they have twisted it to a non-partisan detriment and their wails of "unfair" will sweeten the air, when they run afoul of it.
