Exactly! Stop discriminating against young people and get them in leadership roles so when the elderly move on we are not left with a vacuum! Why can’t they team up and work together?! Let’s stop pretending that we shouldn’t plan for the future. We need both the elders & the young!

They’re young people in leadership & moving toward leadership (blocked by old fogey state legislators): Jasmine Crockett, Maxwell Frost, David Hogg, Malcolm Kenyatta, Harry Dunn & more. They’re impressive & have worked hard to get where they are—we need everyone willing to work hard. All ages.

Yes but the elders need to share the spotlight with the young people. Full stop. They aren’t doing that. No elder should tour solo! Bring a young leader with you! It’s your patriotic duty!

Doesn’t work that way. Politicians must get reelected. They may not want to bring in anyone who could steal the spotlight. There are natural constituencies, college kids for young leaders. Copy EVERYBODY else’s good stuff. Younger folks, use what works from old folks. Old folks, use best new ideas.

Most Dem Members of Congress have younger staff — you’ll see them sitting behind the Member in Congressional hearings. A good number of these “invisible” people end up running for Congress later.
