4% of immigrants are illegal, despite the ‘reds under the bed’ scaremongering. I wonder what Farage would say if politicians in Spain were planning to deport Brits who are economically inactive and make no attempt even to learn the language.

I recently met a couple who have come back from Spain. They’d been to Spanish lessons before going there, and further lessons once there. Their problem was that they lived in an English enclave, where nobody else spoke Spanish. They also said that the locals spoke too fast for them to understand.

4% of immigrants arrive seeking asylum via unofficial routes. Over 50% of their asylum claims are successful. They are not illegal. Or scary. More likely to be scared.
