I mean everyone is thinking it and I'm sure their own party is concerned if he can step up in an emergency situation too - that's worth clarifying and reassuring their base on regardless of his current health.

like. if you want to reassure their people, you tell them donald trump *isn't dying*. telling them that president jd vance is up for the job because he ate his wheaties and listened to uncle don's wisdom is not your first choice

I dunno. I think part of it too is that they just went after Biden and Kamala over all of this. They ate them alive insisting Joe was fine while his health deteriorated. They know 2028 is going to be important and they don't have anyone else to run for them?
