And I'm the idiot that goes to a dentist that's not covered bc I like the dentist so I'm paying mostly out of pocket for dental & orthodontic isn't covered what the hell am I getting for the insurance!? Ok I won't complain bc I'm fortunate to at least have good insurance...but it's still horseshit

Last dentist visit was a mess of payments mailed to me from the insurance company, then billed separately by the dentist. When did this happen? In the past insurance paid the dentist, why am I paid now and it is completely confusing.
