Andrew Jackson and Andrew Johnson are different presidents. Jackson was 1829-1837...it was Johnson who screwed up post civil war response.

Ah yes, I get them mixed up. I got my timeline wrong too, then. Andrew Jackson didn't have anything to do with reconstruction, but he was still responsible for the ethnic cleansing of Native Americans. He was exceptionally racist even for his time.
