He doesn't want to leave the office. He knows criminal trials are pending! If you were as unscrupulous as this person, what would you do to not face consequences for your actions?

he is already above the law per the supreme court, and as president, he can pardon himself from any woe. rip amerikkka.

I think the media failed miserably on this. The technical wording of that ruling is that the courts (and of course a "competent" Congress) are allowed to decide if any acts are actually official and actually legal. But not like any "establishment" person has the courage to challenge it.
