So. My mom was an alcoholic who, before getting sober when I was 11—which she did by going to rehab/halfway house for ~9 mos, so we were cared for by others—dragged us all over the country, endangered our lives, couldn't keep a job, etc! And yet, I don't want to kill liquor store owners. Huh!
(oh right, and my dad had died when I was a baby and my sibs were not-quite-3 & just-turned-5, which is why HE wasn't around to deal with it all) You don't get a pass for spending our tax dollars on murdering people in international waters BECAUSE YOUR CHILDHOOD SUCKED.
NO ONE ASKED THE VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA TO HAVE *checks notes* ✌️SYMPATHY✌️ FOR DRUG CARTELS. WE ARE ASKING HIM AND HIS BOSS TO NOT MURDER PEOPLE.
*no one asked the vice president of the United States to BE the vice president of the United States. only HE did that. that was HIS choice. if his feelings about his childhood were too big for him to handle, he should have stayed home.
Politicians are public servants who should not be there if they merely want to act out revenge dreams or be coddled. Everyone has had far more pain than most can see. Doesn’t give them the right to pass that pain onto others. There’s a point where one needs to take responsibility for ones’ actions

My dad was an alcoholic who fought tooth & nail to stay drunk until the day he died when I was 15. The abuse & chaos has traumatized all my siblings. The legal & penalty costs just took food out of our mouths.
