Yeah, we had Jack In the Box for about 5 minutes in Utah, somebody got e coli or salmonella, and then we didn't have Jack in the Box franchises again for like 30 years.

Exactly this! Economic deterrence, similar to the military version. Sadly necessary, but essential for humane agriculture & a safe food supply.
