The fun part is that Steak & Shake fries are still mostly fried in vegetable oil. They’re fried in two stages, once at factories to cook through, then they’re frozen and sent to the restaurant to be quickly fried to crispy. Only the 2nd fry uses beef tallow. The first is still vegetable oil.
