no you're absolutely right but often the reason a monster shows up is to punish someone who did something bad. a lot of times it's just like "they had sex" lol or some other trivial "sin" but sometimes it's for something really bad, like harming an innocent animal

I never thought of it like that actually!!! I mean yes John is obviously not a good person but neither are his enemies, so in a sense it's evil punishing evil 🙂‍↕️ Been a while since I saw the film, should totally rewatch it some day ✨

have you ever seen Scream from 1997? if not you should, it's a really meta take on the horror genre and in one scene they take it apart and explain the "rules" of horror and like they leave a lot out but it's a really good base! those John Wick movies are all excellent imo, you should rewatch them!

you're welcome! it's really really good, one of my all-time favourites idk how many times i've seen it lol. the rest of the franchise is good too, i adore it, but the first movie is the best!
