Anybody have know how to kill time in Detroit? I'll have 8 hours in the morning before I need to return to the airport and I'm looking for better options than staying in the terminal and playing on my Steamdeck the entire time.

Step 1: find a person named Time Step 2: take them to Detroit Step 3: my lawyer has advised me not to finish this list
You can ride the weird circulator thing, or eat an imitation pizza at little caesars, also I hear there's cool stuff in the general vicinity of Campus Martius.
Circulator?
It goes in a circle. www.thepeoplemover.com
I only know 3 things about Detroit. 1. It's transit system is less than ideal 2. It's where Little Caeser's Pizza is from (the owner of that restaurant also owns most of the vacant/parking lots in downtown) 3. Campus Martius is cool
Ask someone for directions to Cass Corridor, you won't be disappointed.
Detroit has a pretty nice airport with a fun red train
start with Fool by Christopher Moore (@theauthorguy.bsky.social)... it'll take half that to read it, but there will be at least an hour added trying to explain you're not a psycho randomly breaking into fits of uncontrolled laughter to passing strangers and possibly airport security.
Oh I read that one a while ago! I also like his book Lamb
hmmm... how 'bout A Dirty Job or Bloodsucking Fiends?
I always check Atlas Obscura - here's what they've got for Detroit :-) www.atlasobscura.com/things-to-do...
Jazz Festival is this weekend.
The Ford Museum. Very close to the airport and super interesting.
I hear there are some excellent rap battles to participate in. Not sure, I've never been there, I only saw '8 Mile'.
Oh! On a somewhat more serious note, the Ford Museum is in nearby Dearborn, and they have several Mold-A-Rama souvenir machines. www.mold-a-rama.com/machine-loca...
The Detroit Institute of Art.
Can escape to Canada on a bus from there.
Unfortunately I'm needed as the ride for an undying ungulate, otherwise that'd be a great idea
The Henry Ford!!!
Detroit Institute of Art is nice
I hope you're enjoying yourself and I'm so jealous. I haven't been home in forever. 🥰🥰
Oh I've got 2 weeks until im over there. I just like to come prepared:p

The Detroit Institute of Art is excellent!
Check out ann arbor if you can. Specifically vault of midnight games and comics. There is a nice drink spot called the raven next door to it.
There's also some good eat spots near by. One bowl, quickly bubble tea, sweetings, and slurping turtle. If you do find yourself around there i hope you have fun!
Ford Museum is 14 minutes away according to Google maps. It's an interesting place and open now. Don't know about ticket availability. Just visiting the river area is cool too.
No. You ain't killing 8 hours there, you're blinking and killing an entire weekend there.
If you like a good burger dive, Miller's Bar in Dearborn is an institution. 20 minutes from the airport. No menus, just burger, fries and onion rings.
