EV charging, hot water tank heating and washing load on the go… 🙂
Sounds like the high temperature cleaning rince on the washing machine, dishwasher and pyrolysis on the oven day then.
Mixergy?
Yes. I have to say a brilliant piece of kit 🙂
Will they work with heat pumps and thermal solar?
Yes if you get the right version. They can have an internal piped heating coil (as well as an electric element). Mine has that, not used yet, but also a built in solar diverter so you just need a cable to your meter cupboard to detect solar panel export and off you go 🙂
Much appreciated Will nudge our installer, have had thermal solar pre-feed to combi gas boiler for past 15 years (brilliantly simple!l) but probably need a different tank when doing heat pump next year, so this might be a solution. Ta.
We were also thinking a heat-pump in a couple of years so this was a nice first step. It's in the attic. Plumbing took a day. Left combi in place pipe wise so we can, if needed switch back just with two valves. Electrics a couple of hours. App for control, plus a manual 'gauge' in the bathroom 👍 🤔
Terrific
Not sure how to use a full 2 hours. 1 hour was enough today 🤔
Have 21kWh of batteries......they will be full!!!
Pff. My solar has been 5-6kw. No joy today. Tomorrow forecast 100% cloud so maybe.
I’m force discharging the battery as we speak to make sure it’s got as much room as possible. Both EVs have got space and I can manually start the hot water. Other than that 🤷♂️
Given I don't get paid I'm not bothering with the steam cleaner etc. But cooking on the Aga >5kw on full while pyro on the regular oven should rack up some decent kwh Solar atm 1.1kW but sunny intervals from 2 so might be tight 🤞
I’ve gone out so it’ll just have to be what I’ve set on the timers/remotely startable etc. Loads of solar here but can dump it into the battery while it’s also charging from the grid. Not sure what its DC limit actually is tbh 🤔 I’ve seen at least 16kW
Okish. Not sure what the pink cephalopod was up to as my battery discharged from 77% to 66% around 12:30 before finishing at 98% by 2pm
I used agile before the #Russian invasion of #Ukraine, before prices went silly and these negative prices were regular. Hopefully the sign of what is to come as more #renewables are connected. #cp2030
2 free hours with Octopus tomorrow!!!!
.....Cosy, that is.
Are there psychological counselling sessions? One day you are running through a dark house to make stored solar last through a cloudy day, the next day you are running everything at full blast.
