I had to drive through a flooded road today (UK flood so not a real one) I was ok as the water was below my exhaust. How do ev's cope in similar situations?

Batteries are pretty well encapsulated, so you should be fine as long as the car isn’t sitting in water, particularly if it’s fresh. Salt water becomes trickier — just like with gas cars. If you’re in a Hurricane for example and submerged, it’s recommended to file an insurance claim and take it in
Thanks for the response, mine was more like a massive puddle so I'm sure they would be fine. Do EVs have a motor in a traditional single position or do they have a motor per wheel?
Varies by the EV type; many just have a single position.
