My focus is on how education came under attack pursuant to Tennessee v Scopes in 1925 where the issue was Creationism v Evolution, William Jennings Bryan v Clarence Darrow, God v Science. How the New Deal put evangelicals and the wealthy got together to establish the John Birch Society.

If I understand your thought process the primary process is being used to whittle the voters down into two major categories. Democrat and Republican. Most voters are resisting that. I have always been independent. Until recently I was not involved in the primary process because of that status.

My thinking starts with the Constitution itself. The criteria for eligibility speaks for itself. Primarily age requirements. I look at that the same way the Constitution was amended to challenge the age requirement to vote. The 26th Amendment reduced the voting age to 18 in response to draft age.

26th amendment was ratified in 1971. The right to vote was changed such that if one can be drafted to die for their country they had already earned the right to vote. I turned 18 October 1972. I voted for Nixon because he promised to get us out of Vietnam. I haven't voted GOP since.

The current two party system thanks to SCOTUS decisions like Citizens United has allowed the billionaire class and their millionaire minions the ability to purchase control over the legislative, executive, judicial, and political process. freedom of speech was turned a free-for-all for propaganda in the form of Fox News and ilk. Not that MSM is much better. Not bad, but not as credible as it should be. So what I think we have is a system that has lost sight of it's responsibility to inform the people truthfully and faithfully.
