I dont know enough about hacking to comment on the feasibility of cracking FBI security. Or on the level of criminality related to taking and releasing those files. Legit whistleblowers don't get whistleblower protections in the US! A hacker would probably be executed for treason.
Most of this info has been in the public sphere at one time or another and everyone knows, once it in the web it’s always in the air.
I would agree there is likely very little in The Files that we don't already know, other than maybe 'repeat info,' ie, another victim, same exact story as previous victim
