yeah...i was just talking to someone about this...i don't think social media has nearly enuf umpf and coverage of protests when they happen or to advert them...and this is huge problem. In 60s the energy and publicity was huge. That's what's needed for change esp against fascist regimes.
I think anyone over the age of 25 is disillusioned b/c nothing changed when they Occupied Wall Street Marched for Black Lives Matter Shared Me Too stories Marched for womenβs rights Joined Climate change protests Add to that a fear of Trump reprisals & losing what they have = no action
it's so much more work when the Dems in congress are doing absolutely to help us...so we have no legal actions taking place thru federal level that should be happening if Dems repped us & did their job to uphold rule of law. We had tons of stuff going on in 60s to deter us, but we kept going!
Too many of them are too old
i understand...but why would being old have anything to do w stopping them from taking proper legal actions to uphold the laws...that is the job they've signed up for...not doing so is actually a violation of their oath and illegal. You mean their age makes them lazy to do the work?
The older you get the more effort it takes. Theyβve lost that fire and energy of youth And stuck in their ways of doing stuff
something is very psychologically wrong with that and immoral...when i reached the point where i could not do my job properly, i retired. My boss agreed with that move too. it was not a big deal at all. i found other things like doing art that i could do...
