It's alright! I am a proponent of conversation and think that disagreement is important. The future is coming. It's up to us to describe the positive future we want and steer towards it. Humanity has successfully navigated technological transitions before.

I think your analysis is both right and wrong. Historically, technological afvances created a ton of value, which did improve a lot of ordinary people’s lives and created leisure time, etc. (Yes, lots of inequality, but still, a lot of ordinary people.) 1/3

The difference now is that value generated is concentrated in a very small number people due to: - Marginal tax rates so low at the top brackets that public goods are not being provided. 2/3

- These new technologies are winner-takes-all: the winner being the owners of the companies paying for their development. Employees may be paid well until they invent the tech that makes their job go away. I just reread Player Piano. That’s the world we are increasingly living in. Fin. 3/3

Fully agree with you But let's remember when Musk's AI, Grok started sounding "woke". Musk, instead of accepting the AI was making statistical conclusions from it's training data that woke is broadly accepted - decided to tweak the AI to fit his bias That's a very sinister way use of technology

Where do we need the most AI? Truth, Transparency & Human participation in POLLING. how many polls actually show the number and ‘breadth’ of participants..? They should be required to show AT LEAST those numbers.
