i don't want to torture them, but reversing their ill-gotten takeover of Literally Everything and restoring something resembling a fair and equal society will probably resemble torture to them anyway equality to the privileged, etc etc

This is more or less how I feel. Any acceptable "victory" for our side will as a matter of course mean their entire worldview has been disgraced and thrown aside and they themselves will viewed with (at the VERY kindest) polite disgust. You don't really NEED show trials or whatever.

Some people will have to be dealt with using all the force of law. But it's hard to say who yet; we don't know who will be vulnerable and who will be available.

It’s all well and good to say “lock em all up” but you need to find the people you have dead to rights. Where you can prove what they did and that it was unlawful at the time. You want to make examples! Don’t go after people who might have a defense lol.

But to be clear -- I do not have strong feelings about absolute correctness. At the end of the day (if this day comes) I will be for whatever the public is for, heh. If there's political will to go Real Big in terms of "doling out blame and justice" then we go big. I will shed zero tears.

that's why they're fighting so desperately to claim victory and crush all opposition, because they know the second they relent they are *done* and that there's no frame in which they don't completely win that they're even acceptable. they have to be all in

they're Walter White, basically, and fairly literally. they can't stop at any point, and even if they can't win, there's no path to even honorably/respectably lose at this point
