let’s pump the brakes on tong. we dont know if he is even ready. dont get me wrong im excited abt him but his command was really off and he might need another pitch. he’s only 22 so i have faith. we also have scott coming back next year.
I, too, worry about unrealistic expectations. There’s a reason pitchers don’t typically go from AA to one week in AAA to the majors. I’m rooting hard for him and he’s delightful. I don’t, however, expect him to save the season. He deserves the grace of a learning curve.

The Mets 2026 rotation of Tong McLean Peterson Manaea and Sproat doesn’t look too bad on paper to me
Senga Holmes Megill and Scott all under contract for next season. 9 starters for 5-6 spots plus any potential deals that could be made. Plus Santucci and Wenninger pushing their way up the system. While you can never have too much pitching i think the Mets need to unload someone(s).
I think Holmes can slide back to the pen unless someone wants to pay full SP freight in trade.
They probably trade him as a starter before moving him back to the pen. Fans are quick to pull this trigger but the team has zero intention of doing this.
They need to pull Manaea and Senga from the rotation .Today. NOW. Neither one of them should make another start this season. Bring up Sproat. And as much as it pains me to say it, bring up Megill.

They know he's tipping pitches. So it's more in his head than anything else, I guess. Still, asking him to fix it mid game, in pressure situations doesn't exactly seem like the best move,lol.
#MetsSky / Bluesky is far superior to Twitter. No ads, no vitriol, limited scammers, better moderation tools, ability to set up your own feeds to not be subject to their algorithms. Much easier to hold good conversation here than there. (Just my opinion)

Searched on #Mets, first 50 posts were gambling sites. Blocked them, but they stayed on. Finally searched on #LGM and found some "content". I respectfully disagree, people there are just more hostile looking for fights. HUGE DIFFERENCE We need more sportswriters here, that's my only complaint 2/3
Once upon a time, Twitter was a great place for sports, then Elon Musk ruined the site with fascists and pornography. It might still be okay for sports—I have no way of knowing, because I quit it a long time ago.

Facts. I was very active over there w/politics ( esp during elections cycles) & sports. That platform looks to pick a fight or tear u down -everything wrong w/this country. No humanity, no listening, just hubris & damn MAGA't barking. #MetsTwitter had some nice folks, all but a few are here now.
Peterson has had more terrible starts than good in August. I am a big fan of DP, but I’m worried he has something wrong with him.
