Why is it that this site looks like it's Apple? Well, some might argue it's because Apple design is visually stunning. Sure, that's fine. I think it's more likely they asked AI to make them a site that looks like Apple, or is "beautiful" and the model determined this is what the outcome would be

There are parts of this site that don't immediately fail. Not a lot, mind you. They did a terrible job. But despite this regimes antagonist view of disability and accessibility, they will make some things accessible without realizing they are. Because accessibility is better for usability.

FYI, The American government already had a digital services team that did actually good work, 18F. They were impacted by DOGE's cuts, and now we are being told this America by Design thing is better? Bullshit. Find them at @alt18f.bsky.social and read about what happened 18f.org
