I've literally talked with leaf one on one multiple times and he's directly backed me up when I was targeted by bigots. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt here. I think they handled things poorly and communicated poorly but I don't think they're "lying" here

I'm on the front line of organizing against the payment processors and navigating communication with itch who is responsible for the livelihoods of devs like me. itch is now signal boosting folks in the community organizing against visa and mastercard and is looking into actions behind the scenes

we deserved a heads up.But they're communicating now and working with the affected folks on a way forward and a counter pressure to those responsible for this in the first place. itch is closer to our side than visa etc regardless of how the last couple days have played out
