In theory... But with Trump in charge of the US, it's anyone's guess who US will attack if NATO members are called in to respond to Russian aggression.

He is too incompetent to successfully do anything and I doubt anybody is sharing information with America at the moment. Nobody in America thinks he could even beat Venezuela in a conflict at the moment however, he will tariff and complain.

So what if he doesn't win? He can do plenty of damage just sitting on the toilet tweeting. EU can't realistically fight both US and Russia, even if one of those battles would be primarily a diplomatic one. The world is too broken right now, far too much populism and hate-oriented politics.

Plenty of damage can be done simply by the fact that the country is vulnerable like another round of covid would do so much damage. The fact is we are on our own again for the next four years.
