I watched a documentary about the legal (and illegal) trade of body parts in the US, it's insane. The thing is that the legal trade is supposed to be from bodies who willingly donated themselves to science and are sold to medschools and research centers.
Itβs crazy that even your body is a cheap source of income to these corporate fucksβ¦
Yeah. There is little to no oversight for that and at this point for people there just don't know where they'll end up when they pass π This is the series and episode if you ever get curious. It's a wonderful journalistic work, one of my fav series and reporters. www.imdb.com/es/title/tt3...
Thanks. What a fucking racket, eh?
The illegal part comes from funeral homes who took the bodies and gave families fake ashes, and people who sell body parts from people who didn't sign the donation form or, you know, unclaimed bodies at the morgue. Not enough people ask questions so the trade booms
All for the sake of money eh smh
Yeah, horrifying. Sometimes I'm like "damn, if I didn't care at all about ethics and human decency there could be millions of ways to get rich and wouldn't be struggling so much". It seems like honesty, integrity and just being a good person comes at a cost, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
Being honest and having ethics makes you "woke" or a "communist" for some reason. It's funny because the people to hurl insults at you are self-righteous and "good Christians". Appears you need to remove your soul to be what they see as normal. I'd rather keep my soul thank you very much
I wholly agree

Nothing surprises me these days
I'm sure people will be fighting over Trump's organs when he keels over.
To find the choicest parts for their dogs? π
Even the hungriest dog wouldn't touch his rancid offal.
