Chinese trade with the US is 14% of its total global trade. We are China's largest trading partner, but we aren't even a majority stakeholder. China can take the hit and survive just fine.

I'm not sure if you're getting this backwards or what but less than 3% of China's GDP relies on exports to the US. It's 14% of US GDP that relies on exports to China.

I was able to figure this out and 14% appears to be specific to trade and not total GDP. So I guess it's correct but I think the fact China's economy relies on the US for 2.5% of it's GDP hits home better. They don't need to trade with the US
