So the Post Office is now accepting packages to go to the US BUT US customs will open the packages and if they suspect the country of origin is not the UK they will destroy the contents. Sad for our customers. US citizens. Yet another small indication that the world has gone mad.

Totally true. They stopped accepting post to US a few days ago because Trump cancelled the $800 de minimus levy on small packages. Now US customs have to calculate charges on all & because the rates are different for each country they have the power to destroy stuff if they suspect the origin.
I suspect some with an agenda will destroy stuff anyway because suppressing imports will help make America great again. In other words it’ll be like North Korea.
