White anglo-Canadians tend to like to talk about racism in Quebec without acknowledging that it's just as bad but less openly discussed in the ROC. Afrikaners were in very meaningful ways oppressed by the British. That didn't make them want to end oppression, it just made them want to become exploiters in even more violent ways. French-Canadians do have legitimate historical grievances, but that can't be a blank cheque for modern reactionism.
