Dear Little Marco, Why does Iran need all these weapons? Maybe because nuclear-armed Israel and nuclear-armed America have been trying to destroy their country for decades, ya fucking smug, self-righteous, fungus-infected toenail clipping.

Well the blame is all on trump. The orange shitler got rid of the deal Obama made because he’s petty
What Steve said 👆🏻
Cheeto Mussolini blew up the Iran deal so that Lockheed & Northrop Grumman could sell more missiles today & because a ⚫️ man made it real. He could never abide a ⚫️ man who had more intelligence, class, & grace than his 🍊 rapist grifter ruskie asset self, so *poof*! More weapons sales, 4ever & anon 🙏.

Um 🙋🏼♂️ Not currently pursuing a bomb, doesn’t mean Iran isn’t a brutal, oppressive, corrupt, backward theocratic regime. They’ve carried out a decades-long proxy war with Israel/US. They hold the critical Hormuz trade route hostage. They want to erase Israel/US. And they’re deeply unpopular at home.
All true. And ....?
And…sure sounds like a false equivalency here - and condoning Iran’s actions over the decades. The US/Israel having nukes doesn’t mean you get make it your life mission to erase Israel, oversee brutal proxy wars, use shipping lanes as leverage, etc. And don’t say Gaza. Iran doesn’t care about Gaza.
Not "condoning" anything. But to ignore the historical context of the region - what the US, Arab countries, & various Israeli govts have done to Iran over the past 70 years - in order to portray Israel as some heroic victim, demonstrates an understanding that is as shallow as MAGA's.
Who’s saying Israel is a heroic victim? I’m anti-Netanyahoo, the genocide in Gaza, Israeli influence in US Gov, etc. I’m just saying it’s a case by case. No one forced Iran to be a brutal theocracy. They could be a thriving economy with alliances and tourism by now. Actions have consequences.
A whole bunch of Americans continually portray Israel as heroic victim, principally the US "Christian" right, but also many "liberals". There's a shitload of history of the region that got us to this point which many people on both sides of the US political divide don't appear to understand at all.
In 1953, US & UK intelligence agencies overthrew an economically-successful, popularly-elected democratic-socialist govt in Iran and installed a dictator to protect BP's interests. The dictator gave BP 50% of Iranian oil profits & suppressed Iranian resistance with brutal secret police forces.
Yes it was a mistake. But Iran also should’ve been realistic that they were not going to control the flow of oil, Western powers be damned. They should’ve negotiated a treaty that allowed the political structure to remain in place. And again, a brutal theocracy is not the answer, and not popular.
They weren't trying to control the flow of oil, just their own resources. The US & UK didn't give the Iranian people a choice in 1953. And in 1979, they embraced the only force capable of helping them throw off the puppet regime and colonial yoke. Yes, ultimately, they screwed themselves, but ...
You get a 💯 on that.
I'm liking the name calling! Clear and to the point, but still original. A+
You have a wonderful way with words. 💕😀
think you have it backwards dude, it’s Iran who’s on record as saying Israel has no right to exist. I think Israel and the IDF are genocidal war criminals, but Iran’s government is fucking awful. They hang family members in front of each other. Not calling for war, but they fucking suck
First of all, "dude", I'm not taking sides here. The current regimes of both nations are horrible. I was responding to Rubio's ridiculously disingenuous rhetoric. Secondly, if you think Iran is the only ME nation to ever condemn Israel's existence, then you don't understand the historical context.
That’s not what she’s saying though? She’s saying that there was no intelligence proving it. hes saying they can assume all they want cause they KNOW they are right…IF they KNEW they were right they wouldve EASILY gotten congressional approval. It’s unconstitutional. It’s illegal. That’s the point.
All the constitutional points are correct, but you don't actually have to hand it to Iran. That regime is god awful and calls for the destruction of Israel. Israels actions in Gaza are genocidal. The US president can't just bomb countries when they feel like it.
Multiple actors or stances can be bad at once.
Sure but that’s not what the comment I was responding to said…? the reporter asked if he had intelligence to back it up. He said no it’s irrelevant cause they can read the vibes. I’m not even talking about Iran…so no I’m not defending that evil regime. That’s the part that’s irrelevant. Regardless
Of what country it is what Rubio trump and republicans did was beyond illegal it was unconstitutional and she’s calling it out. His response to that was essentially “we can do what want fuck what the intelligence says” or equally bad “we have the intelligence we’re just hiding it from every single
Democrat that was voted into office.”
You were replying to 2 comments, the first of which effectively said Iran was in the right to be behaving the way it is, and needs WMDs for self defence. This is not Irans doctrine. The second made the more informed response. I was backing up said comment.
I still don’t understand how either comment was relevant to what the actual post was about. Not gonna argue with you. 😒
This is how Trump treats nuclear-armed nations, no matter how small or poor:
