That's one thing I don't get - the silence of the previous presidents. Even Bush remarked something like "that's was some weird sh*t" regarding Trump's first inauguration address, so they know this isn't right. I expected to hear more from Obama but with few exceptions he's been too quiet.

Same here - have several family members who hated Trump but couldn't bring themselves to vote for Harris so they sat out the election. I'm having a difficult time not being furious with them, especially when they complain about the current goings on.

I've seen this in my own family - sons- and daughters-in-law (all in 30's) voted for Trump based on "vibe" from listening to folks like Joe Rogan and his ilk. They're definitely not MAGA - just VERY uninformed - they were surprised when told about the kinds of things Trump's doing. Very dismaying!
I never had any doubt that they're trying to provide cover, just amazing that they're doing it so openly.

That's my experience thus far. I go to protests and they don't understand why. I warn them about what's going on and they look at me like I'm crazy (maybe I am but that doesn't change what's going on). Feels like an uphill battle to get people to care.

I do feel bad when I reach that kind of conclusion as I don't want to wish bad on anyone but I also feel like people need to take responsibility for outcomes that they have a hand in effecting (is that the right word?).

I've been pretty happy with my Medicare/Supplement plan experience in the 3 years I've been on it. Only negative experience was that one provider stopped accepting it. Otherwise positive.
With the way the electoral college works, is it even possible to seriously have a third party? I think it would be tough for anyone to reach the 270 electoral vote threshold and the House would decide - bad news considering who currently controls it.

I won't go to Florida again myself. My inlaws lived in the Ft. Pierce area (home of judge Aileen Cannon) and visiting was like going to an alternate universe. Hated going there. Fortunately they live in our area now.
