There will be no deal with Trump is president. Companies importing the goods pay the tariffs and they pass that cost onto us, the consumers. This move protects us. Companies need to pivot, if they haven’t already done so, to stop depending on the US. If I can be #ElbowsUp so can they.

What really worries me about forests in a rapidly changing climate is that trees live a long time, and can't move How can any individual be adapted to conditions when it germinates, and conditions decades later when it's mature? We'll see a big shift to fast maturing species, I think

Skippy said he lost his seat due to fed workers being afraid for jobs; not really. It’s a constant threat. Skippy was never a good MP; not even way back when I was in his riding. But he survived. The big reason he lost his seat was his support of the Convoy. Folks here didn’t forget.
As far as I am concerned, the majority of what happened to Ottawa’s can be laid at Ford’s feet. He took care of, and worked with TO police, and the Ambassador Bridge. He has power over the OPP, which handles roadways and highways, and could have supported the OPS. Ottawa is a city in Ontario.

I am going to lost income, due to an impaired immune system when he heals up, and just because I take care of folks with trauma. Will be, and am, navigating my own stuff right now. I am self employed, and I have CI for myself, but no support if my partner gets sicks. It’s a vulnerable space.
Every week I am writing a letter to the Ontario gov’t noting that they target predominantly female unions, and don’t pay support staff, including nurses, as they ought to. It wasn’t the doctors … it was lack of tech’s and admin structure that is heaving with lack of funding and infastructure. /5
Meeting this coming Tuesday (a week late and only because hubby kept calling) to determine course of action. All we keep saying is well you don’t get pancreatic cancer with no pancreas. Luckily there are no nodules or indication of cancer happening. So looks like a forced retirement. /4
Cyst is now 1.2 cm. More importantly the pancreas has atrophied to the point it is dying. We knew something was off with his internals, but didn’t know this was even a risk. So Whipple is off the the table, and he will likely lose his pancreas, spleen and have his bile duct redirected. /3
Docs were to examine scans done every six months. If it got to be 1cm, then a Whipple procedure was to happen quickly. Whipple is parts of stuff taken out, to ensure nothing scary grows. Despite repeated requests, no scan was done until a month ago. So we should have had 5 by now. /2
So in Nov of 2022, hubby went back for an MRI because they wanted to check something in the pancreas, that was found during his kidney stone look see. Turns out he had a cyst in the main duct, that was just shy of scary. When a cyst gets to 1cm the risk of malignancy is 60-90%. /1
So, another day of normal, before the meeting with the docs next week. My grapes are getting bigger … grapes! … in the Ottawa Valley! My garden is exploding and I got a bunch of free mulch to help me transition to a full on regenerative food forest. Saw the most butterflies so far this year.
