My father was diagnosed with Parkinson’s for 25 years before he died—in the interim he married, ran a business, traveled, and handled his own affairs. Cognitively sharp (though his speech and walking deteriorated) until he died at 86. Just to say—-Parkinsons by itself doesn’t mean one isn’t able.
