I introduced the bipartisan FEMA Act to strengthen and streamline disaster response and recovery programs. Congress must act before it's too late.
It's been 20 years since Hurricane Katrina made landfall and devastated so many communities. Yet, because of recent cuts to FEMA, many are saying we're less prepared for disasters today than we were even before Katrina.
Labor Day should be about recognizing & expanding workers' rights—not taking them away. Trump is dismantling protections for federal employees, undermining both labor freedoms and accountability in government. I stand with workers, not power plays to silence them.
