I cannot stress enough how important this is, please please double check your 401k investment vehicles and, if they are not self-managed, make that a ROUTINE habit going forward.
It is *EXTREMELY VITAL* that you check your 401k's asset split and validate that you are investing in SAFE and standard vehicles like equity, bonds, etc. and not this "Alternative Asset" bullshit. Otherwise you will get absolutely rinsed in the years to come with toxic, dogshit assets in your 401k.
This is, without question, a hidden bailout to these financial systems. The intent here is that they will offset their bad investments to *you* by "democratizing" the investment to the Average Joe's 401k.
