I think they're trying to keep the fans in their ecosystem from realizing that there's a pro-wrestling company in the US putting on the kind of matches they used to be famous for. I saw some WWE fans react positively to All In and tell WWE to up their game.
They also have their own problem of subpar ratings, not building new stars, Reigns filming a movie, alienating their female fans (and female wrestlers) by welcoming Brock back with open arms, and just being a wrestling company whose fans think that the wrestling is worst part.
I learned early that there's a difference between thrash fans and Slayer fans. At the Trocadero, on the South of Heaven tour, there was a guy getting beat up in the middle of the street pre-show.
